Best friends Gerard Fitzpatrick and Tommy Ireland opened Alpha H.P.F in January 2019, intending to provide a small members-only amenity for friends and family, after bemoaning a lack of facilities on hand in the seaside town and surrounding area.
Despite being only a part-time venture for the Newcastle-based pals, demand quickly began to outstrip supply and they needed to dramatically up the stakes.
Skip forward to March 2020 and the pair have relocated to a larger, state of the art unit at Mill Hill Enterprise Park, in the neighbouring town of Castlewellan.
